Our Mission

The Sarcoma Patient Assistance Group is a non-profit organization comprised of a dynamic group of health care providers and patients with the goal to provide financial assistance to sarcoma patients undergoing treatment at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.

Sarcoma affects people from all over the world, from childhood to advanced age and every decade in between. We created the SPA fund to help alleviate the financial burden that comes with specialized treatments. Since the inauguration of the SPA Group in 2014 we have maintained two missions: (1) Spread sarcoma awareness, and (2) Ease the financial burden of our patient population by providing assistance toward transportation, parking, food, housing, and other basic needs.  Without our tangible support, many patients are financially burdened and become unable to receive lifesaving treatment for their sarcoma.
